Artwork Guidlines

We know that ordering printed and embroidered goods can be complicated. To avoid unnecessary charges or delays and to ensure you receive the highest quality customisation, please see our artwork guidelines below. If you're unsure about anything, just give us a call on 0131 555 6940

Embroidery
All files types are accepted as long as they are high resolution
If you have never had your artwork embroidered before there will be a one off fee of £20 inc vat for digitising. This fee is waived if your orders over £250 inc VAT. Once set up we will keep your artwork on file and subsequent orders will not incur the charge.

Vector Files - Our preferred way of receiving artwork
Vector files differ from normal image files in that they can be adjusted in size without losing quality, making them ideal for printing your design. Popular vector files formats include AI & EPS. Please remember: When sending us vector files any fonts in your document must be converted to paths (or curves) before you send it to us, otherwise there may be a delay processing your artwork. Note that saving a bitmap file as a vector does not convert it, we would still need to have the design redrawn.
Print
Adobe PDF
PDF files can include both Vector & bitmap images so dependant on how the file was created we may be able to use it. As a general rule, PDF files created from graphic packages will be fine. The easiest thing to do is to send us the file and we will confirm it's suitability.
Print
Other Files - PSD, JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP, TIF
We can usually work with bitmap files but they should be high resolution (ideally 300dpi). As these types of files cannot be resized without loss of quality they should also be the size of the final print. If we need to have your design redrawn or manipulate it in other ways we may need to charge you extra.

Artwork Approval

Once we have received and prepared your artwork we will send you a proof of the design for your approval. Please check it carefully as, once it's approved, we cannot accept any liability for mistakes.
